Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on MonoPlaneForum. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Posting

    1. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. #
    2. Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. #
    3. Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting adult or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. #
    4. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. #
    5. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive subject when posting a new topic. Examples of bad subjects include; "Help me!", "I can't!", "I've got a problem!", etc. Examples of good subjects include; "Help me with slow cranking engine", "I can't hear anything from my headset", I think you get the drift.. #
    6. Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstances. #
    7. The admin and moderators reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time. #
    8. The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging. Please report any violation you may receive from other members. #
    9. Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". Similarly users should not SHOUT in topic titles or posts. #
  2. Signatures

    1. Signatures may contain up to five lines of normal sized text OR a single image that is no more than 75px high, 468px wide, and one line of small sized text. The font size of signatures should be normal or small only. No blatant advertisements or referral codes allowed. In addition no links to other message boards, however you are allowed to post links to other message boards in your posts. #
  3. Avatars

    1. Avatars should be no larger than 300x300 pixels and should not exceed (5MB) in size. We love BIG avatars! #
    2. Avatars are subject to the same conditions as posts with respect to the general forum etiquette. #
    3. Users abusing these rules will be warned or have their avatar privileges revoked. #

  5. Policing

    1. MonoPlaneForum.com operates a three strike policy. Users will be warned a maximum of three times for any and all offences in a three month period. If the need arises for a fourth warning a temporary ban will be put in place of between 1 to 7 days. #
    2. Users who feel they have been unfairly warned are welcome to contact the relevant admin or moderator for consideration of removing a warning. #
    3. An exception to the three strike rule applies when users contact team members personally (via any method) and show another member posted insulting, indecent or vulgar material. Such users may be subject to an immediate permanent ban. #
  6. Market Place (Buying, Selling and Trading)

    1. New users with less than 10 posts will not be able to post any items in the market place. #
    2. Beware of scams. Use common sense when dealing with someone you don't know. It's always best to get a reference on someone you don't know, or use an escrow service if it is a high dollar transaction. #
    3. For sale ads should have the title "FS or For Sale and the item title". In the body of the message, please list the starting price, any details about the item, the location and pictures would be very helpful. Here are a couple of examples of good titles. "FS Catto Prop" or "For Sale Catto Prop" #
    4. Want ads should have the title "WTB or Wanted and the item title". In the body of the message, please list the item wanted, any details about the item. Here are a couple of examples of good titles. "WTB Catto Prop" or "Wanted Catto Prop" #
    5. Trade ads should have the title "WTT or Want to Trade and the item title". In the body of the message, please list the item, any details about the item. Here are a couple of examples of good titles. "WTT Catto Prop" or "Want To Trade Catto Prop" #
    6. Don't post links to other sites where your items are for sale, e.g., ebay or Barnstomer ads. #
  7. MonoPlaneLog.com (Free Builders Log)

    1. MonoPlaneLog.com is providing a free service to you for the purpose of cataloging an aircraft build or alternatively creating a profile to share information, text, pictures and video. You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your account and you agree you will not sell, transfer, license or assign your account, followers, username, or any account rights. With the exception of people or businesses that are expressly authorized to create accounts on behalf of their employers or clients, MonoPlaneLog.com prohibits the creation of and you agree that you will not create an account for anyone other than yourself. You also represent that all information you provide or provided to MonoPlaneLog.com upon registration and at all other times will be true, accurate, current and complete and you agree to update your information as necessary to maintain its truth and accuracy. #

    1. MonoPlaneWiki.com is a free Wiki that will allow you to read, edit, and use the content. This is all founded on a simple but ever-so powerful principle: If we work together, we can accomplish much more than we can do alone. #
