Re: Smoke Systems and Smoke Oil

I have been flying aerobatics almost 20 years and with the best machines out there. Last year I bought 1 system from Marvin and it is one of the best systems (if not the best). Marvin and his guys helped me design a system for the reduced space in my Laser. Allso helped with one requirement that wou...

Laser "3 point" angle.

I changed the tires of my Laser 300 to the 4.00x5 lamb tires and to the small 3.5 inch tailwheel to save weight. When I flew the plane with the old tires, didn't like the aircraft attitude since it was to easy to do a 3 pointer (I am more of a wheels landing guy). Visibility was awsome, one of the b...

Re: Resell value of experimental 300S

No, it should not. When certifing the airplane in the new country, what they want to see is all the certified parts back again. I have seen done often, certified in the US, moved to experimentall and geting back to certified in the UE. Keep al the records (and certified parts) that show it was certi...

Re: Welcome to the Laser section of the monoplane forum!

Yes you are.... I have to drive 100 km from my house to stay away from Madrid TMA. I laught when I ear poeple complaining of the 30 nm radius class B restrictions in USA and look at my regional and see that basically all the way to 50 nm only 1000' agl is allowed and no vfr inside 10 nm... By the wa...

Re: Welcome to the Laser section of the monoplane forum!

Yea Dave It think we aré in the same point here. It is a particular aircraft with its peculiar system configuration. More than push rods vs torque tubes kind of thing. Both things have very very slight milimetrical advantages and draw backs. But both systems are perfectly good. Reminds me of push pu...

Re: Welcome to the Laser section of the monoplane forum!

Hi Devon I have flown (unlimited WAC and EAC hard) about every airplane out there with push rods ailerons and torque tubes. From Extras 330 through 200, Edges, Staudachers, Suckoi 29 and 31, Zlins, Velox, Laser, Pitts, etc.... Only one with cables, a Cliped wing Cup and that was.... Well not ideal. ...
