Laser with legs

My Laser came with range extending drop tanks. I never needed them and they just sat in the rafters. Now with the airplane up for sale, they will probably come in handy. It can be set up with one or both tanks. Both tanks I think give it more than 60 gallons of fuel total! That's 6 hours of enduranc...

Re: Laser Elavator Throw

The info sheet calls out +/- 25°. When I bought mine it was way out of wack! Something like 18° up and 34° down! I went through and had to adjust the whole system to get the pushrods and arms/horns in the proper location. The elevator pushrod within the control stick torque tube is really critical. ...

Re: LASER: Plans for control rod ailerons

The 2 place Laser 2300 plans have pushrod ailerons and setback hinged, Super Stinker style ailerons.

Here's a shot of a Laser cockpit with the pushrod linkage.

Re: Welcome to the Laser section of the monoplane forum!

Steve, Have you started your Laser wing? I would suggest considering a Staudacher wing. Don't know if there are plans, but maybe Jon would produce a kit. Another option is that Greg Panzl could possibly build one for you. If I were building a wood wing that would be the route I would go. Better aile...

Re: Welcome to the Laser section of the monoplane forum!

Hi Steve, Sorry, I don't have any of the drawings/plans from my Laser... I believe that sketch is from the Z-200 "Laser" that Dave Pilkington did the design and plans for. Since Dave and Ray collaborated on various aspects I would guess my wing has that spar. My wing also has the 21012 airfoil which...

Re: I acquired a Laser 200 a year ago

Hi Hans, Nice looking Laser (and RV-4). I had been receiving notifications on new posts, but evidently not lately. Just happen to stumble onto yours... I try to keep track of the Lasers that are out there, but this is the first time I think I've seen yours! Could you post some larger pictures? From ...

There is a low wing Laser 3200 under construction. Not sure how far along it is now or exactly where it's located.

Re: Oil Cooler Locations

As with everything under the cowl that needs cooling, it's the air coming in as well as going out. My setup similar to an S-1T starts diverting the air down before the cooler so the air exiting flows better to the cowl exit. engine upper left rear.jpg A smooth transition for the cowl air to exit the...
