Hello all,
I had posted this already in another mailing list, but haven´t got that many replies... so why not give it another chance here and start the discssions...
Last weekend I noticed an excessive loss of oil during aerobatics in our Extra (AEIO-580). Up to now we where using about 0.5-1...

I fly the Slick 540 powered by a modified IO540 from Barret Precision Engines with Slick mags. The fuselage is 100% carbon with electrical cables running from engine compartment to aft of the cockpit where the battery is mounted.
I noticed during my airshow season mid July that my hot start...

Little oil in filter during change

I changed my filter for the first time on my AEIO-540 on my Extra at 50 hours. No oil leaked out as I unscrewed it, and there was little oil in the filter itself. Maybe a shot glass amount of oil. I had drained the oil over 48 hours prior to removing the filter, and the filter sits in the...
