Welcome to the Laser section of the monoplane forum!

I'm the current caretaker of a Laser 230 (Acro Spirit) built by Ray Parker and Charlie Larkey.

I spent a year going through the airplane when I got it making some upgrades and correcting some issues. I've been flying it since then, but have it apart again working on improving the ailerons...

What Laser have you got? Some of the Laser guys have been posting on the Biplane Forum, but now we have our own place :-)

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave, I really love the laser. Probably about 10 or so years ago when I wanted to first get into aerobatics I was looking at a laser for sale. Can you tell me what is the wing spar made out of?

My spar is layers of spruce. The picture will give you some idea.

Hi

Laser 300
-Barrett high performance engine, 328 hp (cold air, 10 to 1 pistons, tunned exhaust, vacuum breather, etc...)
-Hartzell Claw prop
-Zivko Edge Wing
-Carbon/Kevlar panels
-complete Polifiber fabric/paint

This Laser will be a beast, built very very light, first flight soon.....

Jorge,

Welcome to the forum. If you haven't already been told, that airplane is going to be a beast!

That will definitely be a BEAST!
Which Edge wing are you using? Push rod or torque tube?

Sorry for the noob question, but why would go with one vs the other? Flexibility, more direct control input?
